Streamlining Safety Through 5 Steps with LOTOBox

Work Order and Key Allocation

Start with a written work order or permit to work, outlining the task, hazards, and energy sources to be isolated. All keys and padlocks are kept in the LOTOBox and assigned to specific engineers.

Key Access & Equipment Isolation

Engineers take their assigned padlock and keys, for the relevant energy sources. Each engineer locks the energy sources with their own locks and labels them with standard LOTO tags.

Work Commencement

After completion, all keys are returned to the LOTOBox. Work can only begin when all keys are back in the LOTOBox. Keys can only be removed by the registered engineer.

Supervisory Check

The master key, often used for the main power isolator, must receive supervisory approval for removal, ensuring equipment safety before operation. The supervisor can remove the lock after confirmation.

05.

Work Completion

Once the work is finished, all padlocks and keys are returned to the LOTOBox, and the task is signed off as completed.
